Bob Inn

The Bob Inn, Chorley was the holder of the CAMRA Central Lancashire branch's Cider Pub of the Year award for 2020. This was the second time that the Bob Inn had won the award, with it also having been the winner in 2015.

The destination of the award was decided at the committee meeting held at the Leyland Lion, Leyland, on March 9th 2020.

With Covid restrictions in place for the remainder of 2020, it was not possible for the branch to arrange a formal presentation of the Cider Pub of the Year certificate. However eventually in October 2020 the acting CAMRA Central Lancashire chairman Adrian Smith did get an opportunity to hand over the certificate to Steve Cooney, the owner of the Bob Inn.

And as can be seen in the photograph below the Bob Inn was also the branch's 2015 Cider Pub of the Year winner (the first year that this award was made). It was good to see that this accolade was already prominently being displayed at the pub.
